Co-sponsored by the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality and the Ministry of Commerce of PRC (MOFCOM), China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) is the first comprehensive global fair for trade in services and an important window for the opening up of the service sector in China. As an international fair focusing on trade in services, CIFTIS has become one of the most important exhibition platforms for China’s opening up, together with China International Import Expo (CIIE) and the China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair). Since 2012, CIFTIS has been successfully held seven times, each graced with the presence of China’s state leaders. Chinese President Xi Jinping delivered a keynote speech at the 2020 CIFTIS-Global Trade in Services Summit and received enthusiastic responses at home and abroad.
The 2021 CIFTIS will be held in the China National Convention Center and Shougang Industrial Park in early September. In full consideration of the current severe global pandemic, this session will be held online and offline. It is planned to focus on eight professional themes, including telecommunication, computer and information services; financial services; cultural, tourism and travel-related services; educational services; sporting services; supply chain and business services; engineering consulting and construction services; and health and hygiene services. It is also planned to hold six types of events: Global Trade in Services Summit, forums and conferences, exhibitions and display, promotion business talks, achievement release, and side events. The exhibition will cover an area of about 130,000 square meters, and more than 100 forums and conferences, promotion business talks and other events will be held. Besides, the 2021 CIFTIS will arrange business investigation, investment promotion, cultural experience and other supporting activities for exhibitors.
Global Trade in Services Summit will invite state dignitaries and international organizations leaders to attend online or offline events and deliver speeches. It aims to exchange policies and experience to exchange approaches and expertise to jointly promote the prosperity and development of global trade in services and thrive the recovery of the world economy. Forums and conferences will be held in ways of summit forums, brand-themed forums and industrial conferences. All these events will focus on hot industrial topics and lead the industrial development trends to deepen trade in services and investment cooperation. Exhibitions and displays consist of comprehensive and themed exhibitions. Comprehensive exhibitions will be held in China National Convention Center, including countries and regions pavilions, provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities' pavilions, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan pavilions, and a special digital service area. The countries and regions exhibitions, provincial, autonomous region and municipalities exhibitions and Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan exhibitions are for image branding. Therefore, the guests of honor country and the guests of honor province will be set up. In the digital service area, visitors will expect the latest forefront progress, achievements and applications of digital service. Themed exhibitions will be held in Shougang Industrial Park, and enterprises have their exhibitions on the above eight themes. Promotional business talks will have three categories: countries and regions; provinces, autonomous regions and cities, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan; and industry. The purpose is to facilitate the "bringing-in and going-out" of services and investment. Achievement release will be held in the release hall, where launching activities, authoritative release, service demonstration case release, and others, and setting up relevant awards. Side events will provide all exhibition and conference participants a resource sharing platform to organize themed events, business talks, salons, dinner parties, wine parties and other side events in various forms during the 2021 CIFTIS.
2021 CIFTIS will continue to be held in the "online + offline" mode. Online platform will provide online registration, booth reservation, online booth construction (including 2D plane booths and 3D booths), exhibitor live streaming, online conference, online business talk, project release, electronic signing, business opportunity tracking, data analysis and other services for exhibitors. The online platform will break the limitation of time and space for exhibitors to showcase products and services online with videos, images, texts, live streaming and through other multimedia means, and communicate with online clients by instant messaging, video calling, online conferencing and others anywhere and anytime. The data analysis services provided by the online platform will also help exhibitors find more business opportunities and make more deals by means of electronic signing.
